Chamber Music in Residence

HomeMusicChamber Music in Residence

Each year between January and Easter, we host a series of exceptional emerging chamber ensembles for two weeks of intensive study and rehearsal.

Mentoring and coaching is an integral part of the residency. World class musicians such as Rainer Schmidt, Johannes Meissl and Krzysztof Chorzelski have all coached and mentored chamber groups as part of this series. We believe that each ensemble is best placed to know who would be most beneficial for them to work with at that moment and we encourage ensembles to suggest their own tutors.

Past groups have included the Navarra Quartet, Trio Isimsiz and Quatuor van Kuijk. The residencies include two lunchtime concerts in the Jubilee Hall in Aldeburgh, which are always well-attended. We provide self-catering accommodation, lunches and return travel.

Applications for 2019 residencies are now closed.
